Amanda Peet’s pregnancy being written into Studio 60’s single character
When newlywed Amanda Peet announced her pregnancy, there was rumors and speculation about how it would affect her Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip character, who is infamously single. And while she has no love interest on the show, the producers plan to write the pregnancy into the show, rather than going the “hiding behind plants and big purses” route.
E! News said this week that there has been no love interest for Peet’s character, network President Jordan McDeere, written into the script as of yet. The most likely single male in the cast thus far is Danny Tripp, who is played by Bradley Whitford.
Whitford said he has experience as a real father and could certainly play one on television. Off the set, Peet married David Benoiff in late September.
Be interesting to see who the father is on the show. I hope they make it the least likely choice to just totally shake things up there. Or better yet, get a really hot guest star as the father during the November sweeps, which might give the ratings a boost, which have definitely been sagging much to NBC’s disappointment.
